A vintage Moroccan incense burner, dated to approximately 1950. 14 inches tall, 8 inches wide. IT HAS A STAMPED SEAL OF THE MAKER SILVER PLATED BRASS Incense is used for special occasions in Morocco. Prior to the hot mint tea being served in a formal Moroccan reception room, incense is burned in a ceremonial censer. The incense ritual perfumes the space, and the guests as they rinse their hands with orange blossom or rose water.
